Interactive Immersion was not only conceived to be a joy to interact with, but also to send a message that our creations can be sustainable and ecologically responsible.  The fish comprising interactive immersion are made almost entirely of recycled steel materials and the LEDs used for the lighting effects are some of the most energy efficient available on the market.  All of the sculptures electronic controls are designed for low power and intelligent dimming of the lighting systems.  When the underpass is not in use, the sculpture uses many times less energy.  These ecologically responsible principles cost little up front, and reduce potential energy usage over time.
